Road traffic accident victim month is an annual commemoration, initially founded in memory of the late princess Diana. However, over time, it has grown into something greater than that and now pays patronage to all victims of road accidents. RTA victim month is widely celebrated across the country, in a bid to spread awareness for the kinds of injuries and harm that comes from road accidents.

Why we care.

There were around 135,000 casualties in the UK in 2023[1] alone, which evidences both the widespread tragedy that impacts countless families, and the need for proactive strategy.

Victims are often impacted in many ways, not just physically. While they could suffer a physical injury, they may also suffer mentally and/or psychologically. This often has a knock-on effect, preventing them from returning to work or meaning they have to undergo rehabilitation. Victims may also find that their friendships and relationships become strained as they cope with their injuries, or due to those in their lives having to provide care and assistance.

Our catastrophic injury team know this too well. Our fee earners work day-in and day-out, seeing the devastating loss victims and their families experience. That is why we at Lyons Davidson Solicitors do what we do; we seek justice for our clients as far as we can achieve. While nothing will undo the damage of a road traffic accident, there are means of legal recourse which will put as close to your pre-accident self as practicable.

Our fee earners hold a wealth of knowledge, and our senior staff have decades of experience dealing with complex injuries and issues. From spinal injuries, brain injuries, complex orthopaedic injuries, to pain disorders and injuries less easy to see, Lyons Davidson have the resources and staff for the claim.
