We are delighted to announce that Lyons Davidson won Best Fairtrade Office in the South West Fairtrade Business Awards, which were given at the annual ceremony at the Watershed in Bristol on Friday 6 March 2015.
This is what Bristol Fairtrade Network have to say about us, when explaining why we won top prize:
“As well as having an excellent Fairtrade procurement policy as part of their sustainable commitments, this company has a Fairtrade Fortnight employee engagement programme and ensures Fairtrade articles appear regularly in staff newsletters. Commitment to supporting Fairtrade is evident in their CSR policy and support for Fairtrade is included in staff induction. They also held a Fairtrade Day as part of their annual Green Week and supplied Fairtrade snacks to their Tour de UK cyclists!”
Ben Derrington, Lyons Davidson’s environmental law partner, said: “It’s a great award to get – there are hundreds of applicants and we triumphed over some big names.”
We are also pleased to announce that Shelley Bartlett, Lyons Davidson’s Consultant Environmental Management Systems Co-odinator, also won a gold award for Best Fairtrade Advocate for the work she has done for our ISO 14001 environmental management accreditation, in engaging employees with our green initiatives and for her sustainable procurement work.
