Members of Lyons Davidson’s Employment Law department have been selected to take part in the Employment Lawyers Association working party responding to the government consultation on ‘compensated no-fault dismissals’ for micro-businesses.
The working party will be considering the pros and cons of introducing the compensated no fault dismissal for micro-businesses, what the definition of a ‘micro-business’ should be, the level of compensation appropriate for such dismissals and the impact on other types of claims.
The working party will respond from a non-political standpoint and will look at the effects on employers, employees and employment law as a whole.
The working part is due to submit its final response by 8 June 2012.
