Last week, Lyons Davidson joined forces with Bristol Fairtrade Network to mark World Fairtrade Day 2019, which took place on Saturday 11 May this year.
Braving the adverse weather conditions (as dry weather turned to hail and heavy rain) to run our stand outside our Queen Square office were Bristol Fairtrade Network’s Elaine Ashley, Jenny and Tom, along with our trainee solicitors Kaileigh Hunter, Jessica Joules, Rhiannon Lucas, Neema Abbassi and Olasubomi Olasimbo.
Passers-by and employees from businesses around Queen Square were genuinely interested in how they could help to support fair trade and many have been put in touch with the Bristol Fairtrade Network. We tempted many members of the public to find out more by offering samples of Divine’s Fairtrade chocolates. We also held a coffee and tea-tasting, which gave an opportunity to share useful material and provide more information on Fairtrade.
