This week (14th – 18th May) is Brain Injury Week 2018, and to mark it, Lyons Davidson is supporting Hats for Headway Day on Friday, 18 May.

The focus of brain injury awareness week this year is the effect that a brain injury can have on the family and friends of the injured person. Loved ones can often end up feeling like the person they once knew does not exist anymore. This can often leave them feeling detached, lonely and sad with a sense that their friend/family member is now almost a stranger.

Please read the really helpful articles on the effects of brain injury on an injured person’s friends and family, read here.

Lyons Davidson’s Head Injury team in Bristol are supporting the week by taking part in Hats for Headway, with a Royal Wedding theme in attempt to raise money for the cause. Anyone wishing to take part should wear a wacky hat, donate £1 to Headway and post a picture on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #HatsForHeadway.

For more information on any of the issues raised this article or for information about Lyons Davidson’s head injury and brain injury services, please contact Laura Merry by emailing [email protected] or calling 0117 904 5718.
