Lyons Davidson’s very own cycling accidents team took to the streets of Bristol on Sunday, as part of the Peaceful Portway and Bristol Cycle Festival’s (of which we are one of the sponsors) Carnivelo.

Traffic-free zone

The Carnivelo saw one of Bristol’s busiest roads closed to traffic to allow Bristolians to play, picnic, cycle or stroll in a unique, traffic-free zone.

The Lyons Davidson stall was ideally pitched right outside Avon Wildlife Trust’s new nature reserve and attracted a large amount of interest from young and old alike.

The kids’ activities proved popular.

We were keen to promote cycle safety and our “Look out for bikes” hi-vis rucksacks and snap bands were soon snapped up!

Cycling competition

We also wanted everyone to have fun and our cycling competition to cycle the fastest kilometer proved a great success, with the winner, Dave Horscroft from Twickenham, who completed the distance in just 57.2 seconds, bagging a signed British Cycling top.
