Nick joined Lyons Davidson in 1995 as a paralegal and helped establish the firm’s Intensive Care Unit, dealing predominantly with head injury and catastrophic injuries. After completing his training contract, Nick managed various claimant personal injury teams and established the firm’s Cycling Accidents Team.
Nick has significant experience of dealing with very serious injuries, including amputations, head injuries and catastrophic spinal injuries, and he currently manages the firm’s Cycling Accidents Team. He has a particular interest in vulnerable road users and now deals predominantly with claims involving cyclists and pedestrians.
One of Nick’s recent notable claims involved a cyclist, Mr R, who was T-boned by a van as he was cycling to work. Mr R sustained numerous significant injuries, including a head injury, which had a dramatic impact on his ability to work. After four years (and with only two weeks to go before trial) Nick negotiated a life-changing award for Mr R, which has provided him with the financial security that he needed.
